Generic Expansions of Countable Models

چکیده
We compare two different notions of generic expansions of countable saturated structures. On one hand there is a kind of genericity related to modelcompanions and to amalgamation constructions à la Hrushovski-Fräıssé; on the other, there is a notion of generic expansions defined via topological properties and Baire category theory. The second type of genericity was first formulated by Truss for automorphisms. We work with a later generalization, due to Ivanov, to finite tuples of predicates and functions. Let N be a countable saturated model of some complete theory T , and let (N, σ) denote an expansion of N to the signature L0 which is a model of some universal theory T0. Let Trich be the theory of some suitably defined generic (or rich, in our terminology) model, obtained from the amalgamation class naturally associated to T0. We prove that (N, σ) is Truss-generic if and only if (N, σ) is an e-atomic model of Trich. When T is ω–categorical and Trich is model-complete, the e-atomic models are simply the atomic models of Trich. On Constrained Generic Expansions and Structural Ramsey Theory
It is reasonably well-known in model theory that expansions of countable countablycategorical structures are closely associated with certain compactly metrizable spaces and, further, that a generic orbit in such a space – in the sense of Baire category – corresponds to an expansion with a particularly well-behaved model theory (relative to the base structure). Results of this kind can be found ...
متن کاملOn Completeness Results for the Expansions with Truth-constants of Some Predicate Fuzzy Logics
In this paper we study generic expansions of predicate logics of some left-continuous t-norms (mainly Gödel and Nilpotent Minimum predicate logics) with a countable set of truth-constants. Using known results on tnorm based predicate fuzzy logics we obtain results on the conservativeness and completeness for the expansions of some predicate fuzzy logics. We describe the problem for the cases of...
متن کاملOn completeness results for predicate
In this paper we deal with generic expansions of first-order predicate logics of some left-continuous t-norms with a countable set of truth-constants. Besides already known results for the case of Lukasiewicz logic, we obtain new conservativeness and completenesss results for some other expansions. Namely, we prove that the expansions of predicate Product, Gödel and Nilpotent Minimum logics wit...
متن کاملOn expansions of WNM t-norm based logics with truth-constants
This paper focuses on completeness results about generic expansions of propositional Weak Nilpotent Minimum (WNM) logics with truth-constants. Indeed, we consider algebraic semantics for expansions of these logics with a set of truth-constants {r | r ∈ C}, for a suitable countable C ⊆ [0, 1], and provide a full description of completeness results when (i) the t-norm is a Weak Nilpotent Minimum ...
متن کاملSyntactic Approach to Constructions of Generic Models
In the present article the syntactic approach to construction of generic models generalizing known semantic one is described. It is established a sufficient condition of homogeneity of generic model. It is shown that at the syntactic approach any countable homogeneous model is generic. Criterions and a sufficient condition of saturation of generic models formed at the syntactic way of its constr...
